Beef & Onion (Filipino)

Ingredients

1 1/2 lbs beef (Tip: I use either beef chuck roast or top sirloin cut. I request for ‘fajita cut’ so no need to be cutting meat at home!)

1 yellow onion

kosher salt

freshly cracked peppercorns

Marinade

1/3 soy sauce

1/4 fresh lemon juice

2 tablespoon olive oil

Marinate meat for 2-4 hours or even overnight (I’ve tried it all!)

How to cook

  1. Medium heat cooking for 5 minutes. Add 1 cup of water. Adjust to low heat for 40 minutes .

  2. Once it has reached your desired meat tenderness, add the sliced onions, cook on low for 5 more minutes.
