My take on some of my favorite Filipino dishes - some took years to perfect as i try to incorporate some non Filipino ingredients + hacks to cut down cooking time yielding delicious and healthier results!
Mango Raisin Bread Pudding
Holla for Challah mango + raisin bread pudding - with little bit of Grand Marnier!
Queen of Flan
Decades to perfect this holiday dessert that always brings back fun childhood memories! Often replicated but never duplicated, yes it’s that delicious!
Kale Laing
Kale greens in coconut curry also known as faux laing. When you don’t have taro leaves, use kale!
Easy Peasy Pancit
Filipino pancit in 20 minutes! Finally, an efficient way of cooking this dish that usually requires a lot of chopping, prepping, etc.
Beef & Onion/Bistek
Not a family heirloom recipe but more of a “pass it on” between siblings and tweaked to my own simplified version. My older brother learned how to make bistek (as they call it) from his friend who supposedly has cooked this dish back in his US Navy days. At least this is what i had been told =) …
Baked Skinless Longganisa
Not your typical longganisa (Filipino chorizo), it’s more of a fusion of Thai Issan sausage + Ilocano longganisa , it’s garlicky and vinegar-y in taste
Chicken Adobo
A little bit traditional, little bit modernized and simplified and …oh my adobo version has veggies (i know!)
