Toss, Dress or Dip
My Go To Lemon Olive Oil Vinaigrette!
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
1/4 (up to 1/3) cup extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
1/4 teaspoon sea salt, more to taste
Freshly ground black pepper
1/2 teaspoon honey
Optional:
1/2 teaspoon dried herbs (Italian, Herbes de provence, thyme)
minced garlic/paste for zing
Asian Dressing I - Coconut!
2 tablespoons coconut oil (melted)
3 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
1/2 to 1/4 teaspoon grated ginger (depending if you want more zing!)
2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
crushed red pepper (to add more kick!) - adjust to your liking
salt and pepper to taste
Perfect on salads with mangoes, salsas or sauces for seafood (grilled fish, etc)
Asian Dressing II - Use of Fish Sauce (Yeah!)
1/6 cup fish sauce
1/4 cup rice wine vinegar
1/4 cup water (other recipes don’t add water but fish sauce can be salty, add H20!)
2 tablespoons honey or brown sugar
2 cloves garlic minced (shortcut: 1/4 teaspoon store bought garlic paste)
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Asian Dressing III - Use of Fish Sauce (Again!)
2 tablespoon fish sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar (i use cane sugar)
2 tablespoon fresh lime juice
2 tablespoon canola oil
lil bit of kick (add either Asian red chili, dash of chili powder OR crushed red pepper flakes)
